HEALTH TIPS
BOOST YOUR HEALTH THIS AUTUMN
We are now moving into Autumn and the days are becoming much cooler and the nights darker - we need to ensure that we can be the healthiest that we can be to protect ourselves from viruses and flu - recommendations for a sickness free autumn and winter
Ensure to get a good nights sleep - minimum 7 hours - sleep is vital to our physical well being as well as our mental health
Spend time with the family - this will increase our serotonin levels (feel good hormone) thus contributing to our overall well being
Refrain from smoking - cigarettes contain many toxins which can contribute to many diseases - choose a day and quit
Wash hands regularly - this will help prevent viruses invading the body
Exercise daily - as well as increasing serotonin level it also helps to control weight, reduces risk of heart disease, is good for muscle and bone health and increases energy levels
Cleanse your system - try a daily smoothie diet (message me for recipes) full of beneficial nutrients - this will help in ridding the body of toxins, will help with hormonal balance, will help with weight management, is good for the gut amongst other health benefits
Ensure you take a vitamin D supplement from October if not exposed to sun - adequate vitamin D levels has been shown to be essential for a healthy immune system and for protection against viruses
Try sober October - eliminate alcohol for a month - this will give the liver a ‘rest’, will help with detoxing and as alcohol depletes B vitamins will increase energy levels
